This massage oil mix has been especially blended with the essential oils known to aid the symptoms of cramps. There is a high proportion of Lemongrass, Clary Sage and Marjoram essential oil in this blend. Massage once or twice per day in the affected area, always in the direction of the heart. If it’s the legs that are affected, massage from the feet to the thigh. If it’s the hands, from the fingers up the arm. If using on the tummy go from right to left in circular movements. You can also use 5 drops of this blend in the bath water.
Leg cramps are common, usually harmless and only last a short time. They can happen at any time, but most people have them at night or when resting.
These can happen when a muscle in the leg shortens and causes a sudden pain that can make it hard to move. The pain can last from a few seconds to 10 minutes.
They can affect the:
- calf muscle, below the knee at the back of the leg
- muscles in the feet or the thighs (less often)
After the cramp has stopped, the muscle might feel sore for up to 24 hours.
